Hail bruises and cracks shingles and knocks off granules. High winds lift tabs, break seals and loosen flashing. Most of it can't be seen from the ground. We'll inspect your roof for free and document every bit of damage with photos, including drone shots of steep or hard-to-reach slopes.

We can meet your insurance adjuster on site and walk the roof together, so the claim reflects everything that needs repair. You get our photo documentation and a written estimate to support the claim.

When hail or wind damage means a new roof, ask about Class 4 impact-rated SBS polymer-modified shingles. They're built to take hail, and some insurers offer premium discounts for impact-rated roofs.
What to Do After a Storm
1. Check for anything urgent: active leaks, missing sections of roof, or damage to windows and siding.
2. Take photos from the ground of anything you can see, including dented gutters, downspouts and vents.
3. Call us for a free inspection before you hire a roofer who knocks on your door.
4. If we find storm damage, contact your insurance company to open a claim. We'll give you the photos and written estimate to support it.
Signs of Hail and Wind Damage
Dents in gutters, downspouts, window wraps and AC fins are usually the first clue that hail hit the roof. On the shingles, look for dark spots where granules were knocked loose, soft bruises, and cracked or creased tabs. Wind damage shows up as missing shingles, lifted edges and loose ridge cap.
Our Certified Inspection
Our inspections are done to Haag Certified standards, the training used across the insurance and roofing industry to tell real hail and wind damage from normal wear. That means an honest answer, whether or not you have a claim.
A Note on Insurance
We work for you, the homeowner, as your roofing contractor. Skynet's independent insurance adjusting is a separate service for insurance carriers, and we never adjust a claim on a property we repair.
Hail and Wind Damage FAQs
Is there a deadline to file a hail claim? Most policies set one, often one to two years from the storm date. Check your policy or ask your agent.
Will a claim raise my premium? It depends on your insurer and policy, so ask your agent. A free inspection tells you first whether there is damage worth claiming.
