It depends on the roof's size, how many layers come off, and the weather. Your written estimate includes a projected timeline, and we'll keep you updated if weather shifts the schedule.

SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) polymer-modified shingles use rubberized asphalt that stays flexible in Wisconsin and Illinois cold and holds up better against hail and wind. Many carry a Class 4 impact rating, which some insurers reward with lower premiums. We also install standard architectural shingles, and either one goes on as a complete roofing system.

For many homes, yes. A metal roof can last 40 to 70 years, two to three times as long as shingles. It resists high wind, hail and fire, sheds snow and ice, reflects summer heat to help lower cooling costs, and needs very little maintenance. The trade-off is a higher up-front cost, but you may never need to replace it. We install metal, SBS and standard shingle roofs, and we'll lay out the costs side by side so you can choose.

Two layers of coverage. Most manufacturers provide a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects on shingles and accessories, and Skynet provides a written workmanship warranty on the installation.

If the damage is limited and the rest of the roof is in good shape, a repair usually makes sense. If shingles are worn out, leaks keep coming back, or the deck is soft, replacement is the better investment. We'll show you photos and give you an honest recommendation.

No. Our owner also works as a licensed independent adjuster, assigned by insurance carriers and independent adjusting firms. To keep every claim fair, we never adjust a claim on a property we are roofing, and never do contracting work on a property we have adjusted.
